What is Cub Scout Day Camp?
It is a 5-day FUN-filled outdoor
program !!! We’ll have programs not regularly found in Den or Pack
activities, such as skills, as well as Crafts, Games, and Advancements.
How do I sign up my child for
camp?
A
registration flyer will be mailed to each Cub Scout, Den Leader and Cubmaster. Also, a member of the day camp staff will contact area Cubmasters
and provide all the information needed for registration.
Each Pack's Day Camp Coordinator will be responsible for collect your
application, forms and fees and turn them in, or you may mail them
directly to the registrar at the Council Service Center.
What can packs do to promote Day
Camp?
Cubmasters
can contact the day camp staff to arrange for a presentation to be made to
scouts and parents at your Blue & Gold Dinner, committee meetings, parents
meetings, den meetings and pack meetings.

Who can attend Summer Day
Camp?
Any registered
Cub Scout may attend as a day camper provided they will be entering grades
1 - 5 the September after camp begins. Boys who are registered scouts and
will be in grades 5 -12 may register as a Den Aide or Den Chief and serve
in a volunteer position assisting staff and den leaders as directed.
What must the Pack do to register
their boys and parents for camp?
First and foremost
the pack must appoint a Day Camp Coordinator.
The coordinator will be responsible for all communications between the
pack and the camp staff. The Pack's Day Camp Coordinator will
promote the camp with in the pack, distribute flyers, forms, &
applications to all pack families and recruit parents from the pack to
volunteer as den leaders & parent helpers. The coordinator will
collect all forms, applications and fees from parents and turn them in to
the registrar before the posted deadline. |
